Even if you are not showing your dog why not come along to support the competitors. There's always refreshments available. It's a great opportunity to meet up with club members and see a multitude of Welsh Springers in one place. As we are located close to Chepstow it's a great setting-off place to go and explore the beautiful Wye Valley - there's the famous Chepstow Castle and the wonderful Tintern Abbey is just 5 miles away. Why not arrange a dog walk with friends and family and drop in to see us at lunchtime or later on to see the awards of the day's champions.

There's always a warm welcome at our shows and it's the ideal place if you want to learn more about the breed - we look forward to seeing you there.

JUDGE'S PROFILE

Judge: Miss Carol Moore (Gadhelic)

I have been associated with dogs and livestock all my life but I began showing with Gordon Setters in 1980 handling for a friend. I have been showing ever since and have made up Show Champions in Gordon Setters and Field Spaniels.

I have been Chairman of Setter & Pointer Club since 2013 after being a Committee Member since 2005. We run a Championship and Open Show each year and in conjunction with the ISAE hold successful Field Trials.

I have judged since 1989 covering a wide geographical area and judged pretty much all of the breeds within the gundog group, but my main area of choice are the Setter and Spaniel breeds. Since awarding CC’s I have judged the Gundog Group and BIS at Open show level.

I awarded my first set of CC’s in Gordon Setters at WKC 2007, Field Spaniels at Darlington 2017 and due to the pandemic, my debut in judging Irish Red & White Setters was delayed until 2022.

I am delighted to be offered the chance to judge one of the native Welsh breeds in their country of origin and the place I have called home for the past 35 years.

We are looking forward to seeing you all there
