Barry Island - or BarryBados - as us locals like to call it. Has now become our traditional autumn walk as it's the occasion we can pay our respects for armistice day and of course it's a great beach that is open to dogs during the winter months.

This year saw over 20 Welshies bringing along their owners to enjoy the Autumn sun – but unfortunately found no sun at all. It was dry enough to start with but the weather soon deteriorated to a more typical wet autumn day.

Jan Rees was there with her new pup Tal and she said "All 21 Welshies enjoyed the sand and racing through the shallows, weather was ok to start but came in worse later on but all had a great time. It was Lovely to see friends old and new, some travelling long distances to attend. Thanks everyone, another great social gathering".

I'm only sorry I wasn't there to take my usual million photographs but fortunately several other photographers were there to record the event and I'd like to thank Clive, Sharon and Jackie for supplying all the great shots seen in the following gallery.
