Margaret Powell - Sad News
The Club was very saddened to hear the news that Margaret Powell (Blorenge) had passed away.
Margaret together with her son Julian, who always handled their dogs, held the Blorenge affix. Blorenge was the name of the mountain behind their house in the Welsh valley town of Blaenavon.
Margaret joined the WSSCSW in 1989 becoming Secretary in 1991 until 2000.
She was a keen Welsh Springer enthusiast breeding several litters with much success along the way. Margaret and Julian’s most famous Welsh however was Sh Ch Blorenge Megan gaining many top awards across the country and who many present day exhibitors would have heard of.
Margaret also made up a second show champion in Blorenge Morfydd.
