FOR SALE BY SILENT AUCTION

The WSSCSW is putting up this lovely Border Fine Arts trophy/sculpture for sale by silent auction at the Champ Show on 26th March 2017

“Sitting Tight”

This aptly named sculpture shows a standing fox on a log with a pheasant “sitting tight” underneath. It is 15cm in height on an attractive tiered wooden stand and was made by Border Fine Arts between 1995 and 1999, designed by David Walton. It looks perfect to us but it will be on display on the cup stand for inspection at the Champ show.

The “silent auction” means that nobody, including committee, knows of the bids until the closing time.

There is a reserve price of £45 and you can enter a bid by post prior to the show or there will be a posting box to take your bids at the Champ show on 26th March.

Send postal bids in a sealed envelope marked “Sitting Tight” to: Mary Evans, 11 Westward Close, Swansea SA3 5DJ (get a receipt of postage if you wish).

For those who will be there on the day, there’ll be pens, paper and envelopes next to the box on the Welcome Table.

Please get your bids in by the end of lunch time on the 26th March (we’ll announce the closing time) and we hope to announce the winner just prior to afternoon judging.

In the event of conflicting equal bids, it will go to the “first out of the hat”.
